Supervisors unanimously backed Bilal Mahmood’s No Hidden Rent Act, which would require online rental listings and new leases to disclose the full estimated monthly cost starting January 1, 2027.

Supervisor Jackie Fielder’s proposal would prevent nonpayment evictions until a tenant owes more than one month of federal fair market rent for a comparable apartment.
