SFPUC General Manager Dennis Herrera says he will retire in December, giving Mayor Daniel Lurie a major appointment at one of San Francisco’s most important agencies. Herrera joined the utility in 2021 after nearly 20 years as city attorney, taking over after the Harlan Kelly corruption scandal.
